Mission, Vision & Values
Mission
The Faith and Family Caucus exists to strengthen West Virginia’s economy, families, and freedoms by advancing principled, Constitutional Conservative legislation that reflects the values of faith, family, and opportunity.
In a time when political identity can drift and party labels do not always reflect conviction, the Caucus stands as a steady guiding star — committed to truth, responsibility, and moral leadership.
We refuse to trade principle for convenience or fade into the background when our state needs clarity. We stand firm without being combative, offering leadership that persuades, elevates, and strengthens the fabric of West Virginia for generations to come.
Vision
We envision a West Virginia that grows again—reversing population decline, attracting opportunity, and lifting families toward lasting prosperity—built on strong moral foundations and enduring constitutional principles.
In a moment when many feel politically unanchored and unsure who to trust, we commit to being the consistent, dependable voice for Conservative values. Our vision is not merely to speak loudly, but to speak clearly — guiding the undecided, inspiring the committed, and restoring confidence that principled leadership still exists in public service.
Values
1. Faith & Family – The foundation of West Virginia’s strength. We defend life, protect the family, and honor the faith and virtue that sustain our people and our freedom.
2. Constitutional Foundations – We uphold the vision of our Founding Fathers — faith in God, freedom of the individual, and the rule of law that limits government and preserves liberty.
3. Prosperity & Stewardship – We believe prosperity and responsibility go hand in hand. Our duty is to expand opportunity, grow jobs, and wisely manage the state’s resources so every family can rise and future generations inherit more than we received.
4. Integrity & Courage in Leadership – We lead with honesty, conviction, and discipline — doing what is right, not what is easy. Our actions must earn the trust of those we serve and reflect the moral courage our times require.
5. Guiding-Star Leadership – In a moment of cultural drift and political confusion, we stand steady on Constitutional Conservative principles —persuading through truth, reason, and example, not hostility — so that West Virginia remains anchored in faith, freedom, and common sense.
Identifying and Electing True Conservatives
Too many politicians claim they stand for conservative values, but truly care only about their own political power. Many legislators claim to be conservative but their votes are anything but conservative.
This is the best current scorecard reporting on the WV legislature that looks in detail at how each legislator votes on the floor:
